How to Have Beautiful Hair Using Items Found at Home

November 18, 2010 by admin · Leave a Comment

There are many hair treatments available on the market that can keep your hair healthy and shiny. If you don’t have enough budget or time to go to a hair salon, you can still keep your hair beautiful by using common items found at home.

Excess oil can make your hair dull and sticky. Dust can also accumulate in your hair. To make it shiny, you can brew some tea and use it as a final rinse after a shower. Tea has Tannic acid that can dissolve excess oils in your hair. It also has antibacterial and astringent properties. Tea will not only make your hair shiny but also keep it clean. If you don’t have tea at home, you can use some lemon juice or cider vinegar mixed with water. These acidic substances strip off some of the oils but they don’t have the other beneficial properties of tea. To use it, shampoo your hair and rinse with water. Pour the mixture on your hair and let it sit for a few minutes. Then rinse with warm water.

If you want to thoroughly clean your hair, you can use baking soda as a shampoo substitute. Baking soda removes excess oils and scrubs off dead skin from your scalp.

For silky smooth hair, use an ample amount of baking soda mixed with a little water. Massage it into your hair then rinse off with warm water.

Dry scalp can cause problems if it is not treated. Too much scratching can damage your scalp and may lead to hair loss. You can use honey mixed with water to moisturize your dry scalp. Massage the mixture on your scalp then let it stand for 3-5 minutes.

Olive oil can do wonders to your hair. It is rich in antioxidants and vitamin E to keep your hair healthy. It will also protect your hair from humidity and UV exposure from the sun. For damaged hair, apply a liberal amount on your hair. Use a shower cap and leave it on for 30 minutes. Shampoo and rinse after.

These items are readily available at home and can help keep your hair healthy. Take proper precautions when using these items. Make sure you are not allergic to any of these items or their chemical properties before you use them.
