Designers like Carolina Herrera, Badgley Mischka and Marc Jacobs have used the deep gem-tones and sensual texture to create pieces that are as beautiful as the creatures who inspired them. Be part of the flock with bold hair accessories like this Plumage Headband from Urban Outfitters ($18.00). The headband is simple and classy, and works well with all hair types and lengths.
The Perfect Bobby Pin

One of the most traditional hair accessories has finally evolved. Scunci Comfort Curved Bobby Pins ($1.29, 60 count) curve to fit the shape of your head- which helps keep the pins in place, painlessly. Even the thickest hair is held securely, opening up unlimited styling options that wouldn’t be possible with other pins.
Try this easy updo for casual summertime events:
1. Start at your hairline and brush back a two inch wide “bangs” section. Secure with bobby pins. Loosen this “pouf” up a bit with your fingers.
2. Pull the remaining section of hair above your left ear into the ponytail in the middle of your head. Twist toward the center of your head and secure with bobby pins. Repeat with the right, and then secure remaining loose ends.
3. Roll the remaining hair at the base of your neck upwards until it reaches the center of the updo. Secure this section with pins, and loosen a bit with fingers if necessary.
You’re done! Always try to keep the bobby pins from being visible, be creative and have fun with your updo!
