We’re hearing buzz about Lion Corps. Mouhatsuryoku Innovate Hair Nourishment Treatment. Called “Innovate” for short, the solution purports to conduct its research at the DNA-level, something no other company claims.

InnovateInnovate contains cytopurine, which stimulates hair growth promoting signals, and glyceryl pentadecanoate, which amplifies hair growth promoting signals and provides hair growth energy at the same time. So not only do you stimulate hair growth, but you also create a healthy environment for hair to thrive.

Miraculous Monoi

An ancient Polynesian beauty secret can still give you strong, beautiful hair today: monoi oil. A blend of coconut oil and the exotic tiare flower, this oil is scrumptiously scented (like a floral-accented cake) and powerfully moisturizing.

Monoi oil can be used as an overnight oil treatment to heal dry hair, soothe irritated scalps and seal split ends. Coat your hair evenly, cover with a shower cap, and sleep on it. Wash in the morning with your usual shampoo and conditioner, and discover healthy, island scented hair! If your hair tends to be oily, apply only to ends.

One to try: The Body Shop’s Spa Wisdom Monoi Miracle Oil ($20.00) can be used as a bath oil and moisturizer in addition to hair treatment!

Kerastase Bain Satin

Kerastase Bain Satin

I can’t open a magazine without seeing Kerastase, so I’ve decided to get the scoop.

I’m on a healthy hair soapbox lately, and Kerastase’s Bain Satin fills the bill. Bain Satin’s shampoos and conditioners have Glyco-Active complex, which is glucose (to boost strength), protein (repairs and fortifies), and lipids (which protect the hair).

Kerastase Bain Satin SystemThe system is super-easy to understand. The “dosage” of Glyco-Active are categorized from 1-3 according to how dry your hair is. 1 is for Normal to Slightly Dry, 2 is for Dry/Sensitized, and 3 is for Very Dry hair. Each category has shampoos, conditioners, and leave-in treatments.

Condition Before You Wash!

July 9, 2008 by Courtney · Leave a Comment

Which came first, the chicken or the egg? How about the shampoo, or the conditioner? Now it can go either way, with hair treatments designed especially for application before you wash! These treatments deep condition without weighing hair down, and can be used by all hair types.

So why don’t the nutritious, nourishing oils get washed away when you shampoo? These treatments stay on anywhere from five to thirty minutes or more to allow your hair to absorb them. The conditioners work deep down to repair and protect, so there is no residue to make your hair limp and dull. Follow with your regular shampoo and conditioner and you’ll be left with soft, smooth, healthy looking hair!

If your hair is hungry for moisture, try feeding it with Burt’s Bees Avocado Butter Pre-Shampoo Hair Treatment ($9.95). Avocado butter is packed with vitamins and protein, and rosemary oil soothes tired scalps.
