Lock in your hair color and give hair a nutritional boost with L’Oreal Professional Vitamino Color Protective Conditioner ($21.00). This salon-quality formula contains antioxidant vitamin E derivative to ward off color-sapping free radicals. Your hair’s natural beauty is pumped up with activated wheat proteins and amino acids, which strengthen each strand to resist breakage and encourage fuller, softer, shinier hair. Leave on just two to three minutes to allow the conditioner to penetrate, then rinse clean for healthier hair and longer lasting color.

Solve common scalp problems like dryness, itching and flaking with Jason Natural Cosmetics Tea Tree Scalp Normalizing Shampoo ($6.99). You don’t have to sacrifice great hair to give your scalp some rough treatment, though- a slew of organic botanicals and protein keep hair soft and voluminous. Another remedy for thinning hair recently attracted our attention. The Viviscal Hair Nourishment system uses AminoMar C, a refined marine protein complex, to thicken and regrow fine and thinning hair.
The system uses vitamins in regular (18%) and extra strength (22%) for women, and 30% for men. It also features Scalp Lotion, Shampoo, and Conditioner.
For best results, Viviscal recommends users take 2 vitamins daily, use the Scalp Lotion every night, and use the Shampoo and Conditioner at least 3 times per week for a minimum of 6 months.
Kerastase Bain Satin

I can’t open a magazine without seeing Kerastase, so I’ve decided to get the scoop.
I’m on a healthy hair soapbox lately, and Kerastase’s Bain Satin fills the bill. Bain Satin’s shampoos and conditioners have Glyco-Active complex, which is glucose (to boost strength), protein (repairs and fortifies), and lipids (which protect the hair).
The system is super-easy to understand. The “dosage” of Glyco-Active are categorized from 1-3 according to how dry your hair is. 1 is for Normal to Slightly Dry, 2 is for Dry/Sensitized, and 3 is for Very Dry hair. Each category has shampoos, conditioners, and leave-in treatments.

Condition Before You Wash!

Which came first, the chicken or the egg? How about the shampoo, or the conditioner? Now it can go either
way, with hair treatments designed especially for application before you wash! These treatments deep condition without weighing hair down, and can be used by all hair types.
So why don’t the nutritious, nourishing oils get washed away when you shampoo? These treatments stay on anywhere from five to thirty minutes or more to allow your hair to absorb them. The conditioners work deep down to repair and protect, so there is no residue to make your hair limp and dull. Follow with your regular shampoo and conditioner and you’ll be left with soft, smooth, healthy looking hair!
If your hair is hungry for moisture, try feeding it with Burt’s Bees Avocado Butter Pre-Shampoo Hair Treatment ($9.95). Avocado butter is packed with vitamins and protein, and rosemary oil soothes tired scalps.
