Be A Wax Artist!

Hair wax can add unbelievable texture and extreme definition- or, when used incorrectly, it can flatten your style in a matter of seconds! To apply hair wax without a hassle, try the following tips:
- Look for a water-based wax, like Garnier Fructis Brilliantine Shine Wax ($3.99). It’s more pliable, which means no hardening or stiffness, and makes hair easier to style.
- Less is more! Scoop out just enough to cover the pad of your finger. Remember, you can always add wax as you go!
- Rub the wax between your fingers before applying to hair. This warms the wax, making it easier to apply, and also distributes it evenly across your fingers to avoid clumping.
- For “blown back” or softer styles, lightly run your fingers through the hair to shape. For more intensely defined styles, try putting a small amount of wax on both hands, gripping the section of hair you are styling, and sliding both hands down the section from root to tip with ample pressure.

Hold that lasts all day without stiffness? Who knew both were possible? The folks at Aussie did when they created their new line of products to make your style more manageable. Aussie Opposites Attract Strong Hold and Touchable Feel Styling Mousse ($3.99) contains the exotic ingredients they love to use like mango and wild cherry bark extracts. It’s perfect for your everyday ‘do, but holds up against the elements well enough for special occasion styling.
Just work through damp hair, and style as desired!
